Lawrence boldly initiated and established St. Joseph’s Matric School, on 3rd June1991. The school had a humble beginning with the strength of 12 students.
Latter Parish Priests Rev. Fr. Xavier Bruce, Rev. Fr. F. Berchmans Micheal Kenet, Rev. Fr. George Ponnaiah, gradually brought the school up. During the tenure of Rev.Fr. Berchmans Micheal Kenet, the school got recognized by the Government. In order to boost the standard of Education and to mould the student in positive values, the stewardship of the school was entrusted to the sisters of the Society of Servants of Mary. Rev. Sr. Jhancy John became the first Principal in 2004.
This great service to the school was made possible through the efforts of then Bishop Rt. Rev. Leon. A. Tharmaraj, then V.F. Rev.Fr.Amirtha Raj, the Present V.F. Rev. Fr. Sahayadas, Rev. Fr.
